Privacy Policy
Techiegigs is a unit of Corporate Infocom Private Limited (“Techiegigs”, “we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit techiegigs.com, send us an enquiry, attend a demo class or workshop, or enrol in a program, and how we use, share and protect it. It follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.
1. Where this policy applies
It covers our website and its forms, calls and messages with our counsellors (phone, SMS, WhatsApp, email), online classes, classes at our Noida centre, workshops, the scholarship test, the Refer and Earn program, certificate verification, and our social media pages where we control the data.
2. Information we collect
- Details you give us: name, phone number, email address, city, education and work background, the program you are interested in, and anything you write in a form or message.
- Enrolment details: date of birth, a photo and government ID for your learner record and certificate, billing details and payment references. Card and EMI payments are handled by our payment partners and banks. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Learning records: attendance, assignments, assessment scores, projects, feedback from trainers, and recordings of live classes in which your voice, video or screen may appear.
- Internship and placement data: your resume, portfolio, interview feedback and offer details, so we can support your job search and check eligibility for the Shared Success Promise.
- Referral and scholarship data: the name and phone number of a friend you refer, your UPI or bank details to pay a referral reward, and your scholarship test answers and score.
- Website usage data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, how you reached us (for example a Google or Meta ad), and cookies described in section 4.
3. How we use your information
- To answer enquiries, arrange counselling calls and demo classes, and send a brochure you asked for
- To enrol you, run classes, track attendance and progress, and issue certificates
- To process fees, EMIs, scholarships, referral rewards and refunds
- To arrange internships and placement support, including sharing your profile with hiring partners
- To send class updates, schedules and service messages about your program
- To send marketing messages about new batches, workshops and offers, which you can stop at any time
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and fraud, and understand which pages help visitors
- To meet our legal duties, such as tax and accounting records
We process your data with your consent, to deliver the program you enrolled in, or where the law allows it without consent, for example to comply with a legal order.
4. Cookies and similar tools
When you first visit, a banner lets you choose which cookies we may use. Your choice is saved in a first-party cookie for one year, and you can change it any time through the “Manage” link in the banner or by clearing your browser cookies.
- Essential: needed for forms, security and remembering your cookie choice. Always on.
- Analytics: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to see how visitors use our pages. Only loaded if you allow them.
- Marketing: Meta and Google Ads pixels, to measure and improve our ads. Only loaded if you allow them.
Some pages embed YouTube videos and Google Maps. These load from Google and may set their own cookies under Google’s privacy policy.
5. Calls, WhatsApp and email
When you share your phone number or email, you agree that our counsellors may contact you by call, SMS, WhatsApp or email about your enquiry or program. To stop marketing messages, reply STOP on WhatsApp, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or write to care@techiegigs.com. We will still send service messages about a program you are enrolled in.
6. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Payment gateways, banks and EMI partners, to process payments and refunds
- Hiring partners and partner agencies, for internships and placements, with your consent
- Service providers who host our website and learning platform, send emails and WhatsApp messages, run analytics and ads, or help with customer support, under contracts that limit what they can do with your data
- Courts, government or law enforcement authorities, when the law requires it
- A buyer or successor, if Techiegigs or its business is sold or merged, under the same protections
7. Class recordings, photos and testimonials
Live classes are recorded so learners can revise. Recordings are shared only with the batch and our team, and are not published. We publish your name, photo, video or review as a testimonial only with your permission, and you can withdraw it later by writing to care@techiegigs.com. We may use anonymised project work as examples in class.
8. How long we keep your data
- Enquiries: until you ask us to delete them, or 2 years after your last contact with us
- Learner records and certificates: for as long as needed to verify your certificate and support alumni services
- Payment and tax records: 8 years, as required by Indian tax and company law
- Analytics and ad data: as set by each provider, typically up to 26 months
After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
9. How we protect your data
We use HTTPS on the website, limit access to learner records to staff who need them, and work with providers that follow recognised security standards. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
10. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold, correct or update it, delete it, withdraw consent for marketing or for sharing your profile with hiring partners, or nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Write to care@techiegigs.com from your registered email or phone number. We reply within 30 days. Deleting your learner record may mean we can no longer verify your certificate.
11. Learners under 18
Our programs are meant for learners who have passed 12th standard. If a learner is under 18, we collect their personal data only with the verifiable consent of a parent or guardian, who also signs the enrolment.
12. Where your data is stored
Our website and learner records are hosted in India. Some service providers, such as Google, Meta and Microsoft, may process data on servers outside India under their own safeguards.
13. Links to other websites
Our pages link to tools, partners and social networks that we do not control. Their privacy policies apply once you leave our site.
14. Grievance Officer
